Meet Guest Chef Kara Super-Peterson
We’re thrilled to welcome acclaimed Northern Minnesota chef Kara Super-Peterson as Guest Chef for this year’s Gourmet Game Feed Weekend.
For more than 25 years, Kara has built a reputation as one of Minnesota’s most creative culinary voices, blending regional ingredients, wild-foraged flavors, and memorable storytelling into every meal she prepare. Many know her as Come To the Cook and have experienced her work as a private chef, recipe developer and collaborator with resorts and restaurants across Northern Minnesota.
Kara’s connection to Gunflint Lodge is personal. She and her husband Ryan first discovered the Lodge while honeymooning here in 2003 and have returned many times over the years. This special weekend brings that story full circle as Kara creates an unforgettable Forest-to-Table dining experience inspired by the Boreal Forest, the Gunflint Trail, and the flavors of Minnesota’s Northwoods.
Expect thoughtfully prepared wild game, seasonal produce, locally sourced ingredients, and perhaps even a few ingredients Kara has personally foraged from the forests of northern Minnesota.
