Gunflint Lodge’s Gourmet Food and Wine Weekend is back! Join us for a delicious gourmet food and wine dinner, prepared by Gunflint’s very own Chef Rick Grabko. Chef Grabko will take you on a gourmet tour of the United States, prepared right here in the heart of the Northwoods of Minnesota! Alongside of this tasty tour, hand-picked wines will be paired to compliment certain elements within each dish. Last year’s weekend was sold out, so don’t wait to book your spot at our table!

Meet Executive Chef Rick Grabko!

Gunflint Lodge’s Executive Chef, Rick Grabko, has been here now for 3 years and customer service and spectacular food are his and his teams’ main objectives. Starting in Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Culinary Institute, Rick began his schooling and spent his beginning years as a cook learning at some of the best restaurants on the Vegas Strip. After returning to the state of Minnesota, he began training under some of the very best midwestern chefs. Rick has also cooked at some of the most well known resorts in Minnesota and has been a great addition to the Gunflint team. With inspiration coming from his mother Nancy, and Grandmother Del, he prides himself on classic midwestern cuisine with a main focus on locally sourced ingredients. In his pastime he enjoys fishing, hunting, and spending time at his family cabin.

Meet Sous Chef Gunnar Christanson!

Gunnar joined the Gunflint Lodge & Outfitters team 3 years ago and has been a vital part of Chef Rick’s daily operations. Coming from Faribault, Minnesota, he has continually impressed his coworkers with his work ethic and his ability to learn. As chef Rick has said “Gunnar is the true meaning of passion in this industry he has always executed and there is no one I trust more.” Gunnar is currently attending culinary college online and has enjoyed honing his skills in the Gunflint kitchen. In his pastime he enjoys axe throwing, playing guitar, and being a big brother to his siblings.
