How It Works

1. Pick you ideal ceremony day!

Call to reserve your dates. Speak with our Wedding & Event team to select your perfect date.

2. Reserve your marriage license.

Marriage licenses may be obtained from any county in Minnesota up to six months before your elopement date.

3. Customize your experience.

Hike hand-in-hand, float in canoes, or glide through the forest canopy.

4. Relax & celebrate.

Celebrate your wedding the day you arrive, then relax and honeymoon together—or delay until deeper into your stay. After your vows, enjoy cozy cabin comforts, wilderness adventures, and slow moments together.

What’s Included in the Elopement Package:

  • Three nights lodging in a Romantic lakeside cabin with a fireplace, full kitchen, and jacuzzi tub
  • Wedding ceremony complete with your choice of wedding venue on property, officiant, and witnesses (if needed)
  • Appetizer and a bottle of wine awaiting you in your cabin when you arrive
  • All meals served in Justine’s at Gunflint Lodge every day
  • Celebratory toast with your wedding dinner
  • All guided Naturalist activities (seasonal wildlife walks, interpretive hikes, etc.)
  • Seasonal equipment rentals:
  • Summer-canoes, kayaks and standup paddleboards
  • Winter-cross country skis, snowshoes, ice skates

Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s are black out dates.

The Elopement Package is priced for the wedding couple only. You are welcome to invite your own two witnesses as well as a photographer to attend the ceremony at no extra charge.
