On the shores of Gunflint Lake you will find a magical setting, unlike anything you've ever imagined. Pure. Peaceful. Quiet. Private. Nestled in the great stands of pine, birch, and aspen, you'll find charming and comfortable cabins, exquisite food, and genuinely friendly and helpful staff. Your only distractions are calling loons, whispering pines, and lapping water. We'll pamper you with spendid meals, wine and hors d'oeuvres delivered to your cabin before the evening meal, breakfasts at your cabin door, and as much activiity or relaxation as you wish.

You have two dining rooms to choose from during your honeymoon- the Red Paddle Bistro and Justine's Fine Dining. Both dining rooms are in the main lodge and each have huge stone fireplaces and decorations of the northwoods, plus a panoramic view of Gunflint Lake and the Canadian shore to the north.

Your accommodations are romantic cottages designed with comfort and romance in mind. These cozy cabins feature a stone fireplace, 2 person spa, well-appointed kitchen, washer and dryer, DVD player, CD music system, steam shower and a deck with grill.

Your Honeymoon Package includes accommodations in one of our Romantic Cottages, all of your meals, wine and appetizers delivered to your cabin each evening, breakfasts delivered each morning if desired, packed picnic lunches, unlimited horseback riding, a boat and motor anytime, canoes, kayaks, hiking trails, and our entire nature program.

There is a 4 night minimum for this special, except for the Mini Moon Package.

Includes: 4 nights accommodations in a honeymoon cabin, all meals starting with your first dinner and ending with breakfast on your departure day, and all activities. Each evening appetizers and wine will be delivered to your
cabin at 5 p.m. for you to enjoy in front of your fireplace, before you come to the lodge for dinner. Breakfasts are delivered to your cabin each morning if you wish, and lunches will gladly be packed if you want to be out for the day exploring.

If you are starting your honeymoon in the Twin Cities area and want a more leisurely travel north, we have another choice. Leave the cities after lunch and drive north to Duluth, spending your first night at ‘The Inn’ down on the harbor in Duluth. Dinner is on your own, with many very nice restaurants within walking distance. After breakfast the next morning, continue north along the North Shore Drive of Lake Superior, stopping at some of the waterfalls, catching a lunch sandwich in Grand Marais and then arrive at Gunflint by mid afternoon.

Includes: 5 nights accommodations (1 night at The Inn in Duluth and 4 in a Honeymoon cabin at Gunflint), and everything that is included in the 4 night package.

If you are coming to Minnesota by air, this package starts in Duluth, where we will have a van meet you and take you to the Country Inn for your first nights accommodations. There is a convenient restraurant right next door for your dinner. After your breakfast at the Inn on Monday morning we will meet you with our van and drive you to Gunflint, stopping at two of the beautiful waterfalls along the North Shore drive. You will arrive at Gunflint in time for a late lunch and a check in to your honeymoon cabin. Then you can relax and enjoy the next days, choosing the activities that interest you, exploring as you wish, and making the most of your honeymoon. On Friday morning we will take you back to the Duluth airport, where you will arrive about noon.

Includes: 5 night accommodations (one night in Duluth and four nights at Gunflint), round trip transpotation from Duluth to Gunflint, and all meals and activities at Gunfint.
