The lodge will be all decorated for the season, the snows will be white and fluffy,
the deer will be feeding by your cabin, and all the cross country ski trails will be
nicely groomed. Our naturalist will have several guided trips, heading out by ski
or snowshoe, that you are invited to join. Another fun activity is a dog sled ride,
although it is an extra. Younger kids have a nice sledding hill up by the activity
center to enjoy. Come evening you can step outside your cabin and look for the
northern lights or listen to see if the nearby wolf pack is howling. This is the Real
North--white, beautiful and pristine.
All our cabins have a cozy fireplace, and most have a sauna and spa tub. There are
free DVD movies at the lodge for you to take back to your cabin, as well as free CDs.
And remember, your cell phones do not work here so you will get a good holiday
without interruptions.
For your dining pleasure you will start your day with a full breakfast menu to
choose from, including juices, blueberry pancakes, special French toast, omelets,
bacon, sausage, hash browns, oatmeal and more. Breakfast is served from 8-10 am.
Then the dining room is open from noon to 9 pm, and you are welcome to come in
for lunches and dinners at a time convenient to you. You will have an assortment
of tasty options—from homemade walleye chowder to salads to big hamburgers to
deli style sandwiches. In addition you will have 6 entrees of the day to consider, and
they range from steaks to chicken breasts to pork to fish to pasta/vegetarian.
Includes: Accommodations in a lakeside fireplace cabin, all meals, cross country
skis, snowshoes and all our guided naturalist programs. Ski passes and taxes are
additional.
